Kathryn’s leadership emerges from understanding the inherent structure of a system and connecting it to the living fabric of our world. She co-founded autopoiesis, llc, which integrates living systems, ecological design, and regenerative models finance. She co-authored Optimizing Urban Ecosystem Services: The Bullitt Center Case Study, leading her to join the ILFI team. Kathryn co-designed the largest leichtlehmbau structure in North America. Her teaching includes U.C. Berkeley, Pacific Northwest College of Art, and Sinte Gleska. She earned her M. Arch from U.C. Berkeley. She has worked with and taught design studios with, Christopher Alexander and Sim Van der Ryn.
