Sustainability Director

Rochelle Routman, LEED AP

Rochelle Routman has been involved in various aspects of sustainability program development, management, and leadership throughout her career. She is Mohawk Group’s Sustainability Director, where she is developing a holistic framework for sustainability, which includes increasing sustainability capabilities across the company, as well supporting Mohawk’s commercial customers in meeting their sustainability goals.

Prior to joining Mohawk, she supported Southern Company in completing the GRI-based Southeastern Corporate Sustainability Rankings survey, and developed sustainability communication materials for the corporation. She also led Georgia Power’s corporate sustainability program. In this role, she led the Sustainability Working Group through a step-by-step process, effectively putting in place a sustainability management system. Ms. Routman previously worked as a Program Manager for the Sustainability Division of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, and also in the aeronautics industry where she was charged with implementing green program initiatives and corporate compliance programs. Prior to that, she was employed with the Georgia Environmental Protection Division.

She holds a B.S. from the University of Georgia and an M.S. in Public Policy from the Georgia Institute of Technology. She is a registered Professional Geologist, a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, and a LEED Accredited Professional. She has also served on many community-oriented committees, including the City of Atlanta greenway acquisition board, and the Morningside Nature Preserve Steering Committee.
