Technical Specialist

“Visualization is a key – concepts such as heat, comfort, and energy are inherently abstract. By visualizing these concepts for our clients, we can provide a clear understanding of the best suited solution.” It is this passion for helping clients visualize concepts and solutions is what Mark loves about working in the building industry. He believes that by visualization, greater understanding is developed. “Every aspect of a building interacts with one another. By developing a deep understanding of these interactions, creative solutions are born. This is the philosophical approach we take in every project.”

Mark has a broad background in both mechanical system design and dynamic building simulation. Using sophisticated simulation techniques, including computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling, Mark has the unique ability to help drive building design towards a reduced energy and carbon footprint while optimizing human comfort and indoor air quality.
Mark has previously worked at NORR Architects & Engineers in Toronto, and Stantec Consulting in Toronto in a variety of sectors including Aviation, Government, Health Sciences and Hospitality.

In 2013, Mark was awarded the Citation Award by the American Institute of Architects (San Francisco Chapter) for the 2013 International Net Zero Energy Design Competition "Architecture at Zero".
