Coming Home To Where We Are: The Practice of Place in An Age of Consequences

Building on stories from Kurt's book The Circumference of Home, this experiential session will explore how a “practice of place” can revivify our lives, and enhance our resilience as agents of healing in an age of consequences. Using poetry, mindfulness exercises, shared story and dialogue, we will explore cornerstones of a modern practice of place, including:
the power of presence and the importance of embodied awareness; cultivating open-hearted engagement with daunting facts and trends; Strengthening our bioregional identity, and cultivating ecological literacy; reaffirming local community as prime social nexus.
